Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering was established in 1994. Konkan Gyanpeeth is a Public Charitable Trust. The College was initially started with Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.

Mission of the college is” To impart the total quality education at undergraduate level by striving for economic well being of local community and the region”
The college is completely self financed and one of the leading institutes among all the engineering colleges
There are trains for Karjat from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) every half-an-hour. Which takes 11 hours and there are trains from Pune station, which takes 2 hours to reach Karjat.
College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to University of Mumbai
