About Thiagarajar College

Thiagarajar College Madurai was established in 1947 with an aim to serve the society by providing affordable quality higher education to all. It is an autonomous government-aided institution which is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. The college is accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC and has been ranked 18^th in NIRF 2023 Rankings among top colleges in India.

The college offers 25 undergraduate courses while 15 postgraduate courses. It also offers PhD & M.Phil. courses in various specializations. Some of the courses are government aided and others are self-financed. In total 512 students were successfully placed at different companies in 2019.
