APS Institution of Engineering (APSCE) is a professional institution in Bengaluru founded in 1997 by Acharya Pathasala Educational Trust (APSET). APSET is an organization with 88 years of history of providing quality education through a network of degree colleges, pre-universities, and schools. APS College of Engineering, shortly known as APSCE is a co-educational private college, affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and accredited to the All India Council of Technical Engineering. APS College of Engineering is located on a 25-acre sprawling lush green campus, located in Bangalore, in Somanahalli, on Kanakapura Road.

The institute offers engineering programs that have been approved by the AICTE. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Students can gain expertise in CSE, Electronics Engineering, ECE, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. For KCET 2024, there are no upper age requirements, however, before taking the entrance exam, applicants need to meet the eligibility requirements as stated by the Karnataka Examinations Authority.  KCET exam eligibility conditions need a minimum age of 17 years to take the exam. Admission to the B.E. program at APSCE is available via three different channels: KCET, COMEDK, and the Management Quota. Diploma students wishing to enroll in second-year B.E. courses may only apply for lateral entry admissions via the Diploma KCET pathway. To help students manage the admissions process and ensure selection into the courses, Administrative Office personnel offer support.

How to Apply?

  • The applicant must register first as a “new user” by filling in the required fields to generate a new user ID and password.
  • Using the credentials generated during registration, the applicant must log in to start filling out the application.
  • After saving the information and re-reading the information provided, the applicants can submit the information and move on to the next section.
  • Finally, the applicants should upload their scanned documents, accept the declaration, pay the fee, and submit the application.

  • Original Marks Cards of 10th and 12th (+2) standard
  • Transfer Certificate and Study Certificate

  • NFPwD, the National Fellowship for People with Benchmark Disability: The goal of the program is to give fellowships, or financial aid, to individuals with disabilities (Divyangjan) so they can pursue postsecondary education and earn an M.Phil or Ph.D. in science, humanities, or social science at Indian universities, colleges, or institutes that have been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
  • Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for SC & Others has the objective of promoting literacy and uninterrupted education at the pre-matric level for children belonging to Scheduled Castes and children of parents/guardians who are engaged in unclean and hazardous occupations.
  • Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in Schools for OBC, EBC, and DNT Students aims to finance the education of deserving students from OBC, EBC, and DNT categories, providing them with a superior education.
  • Top Class Scholarship Program for Students from SC: Through financial assistance, the Scheme seeks to acknowledge and encourage high-quality education among students who are members of the SCs.   • Library: The college has a vast and resourceful library with about 48 national and international journals and 24,000 books to help students with research and learning.
  • Akruthi - Cultural Event: The yearly cultural fests at A P S College of Engineering provide students with an opportunity to display their abilities outside of the confines of the classroom and labs.
  • Sports: There are both indoor and outdoor facilities for sports. Students from APSCE are regular achievers in tournaments sponsored by VTU at the State and National Levels. There is also a multi-gymnasium.
  • Cafeteria: The college canteen caters to both students and the faculty. It has a variety of food including fruit juices and cold drinks. The college charges a total fee of INR 34,000 per year.
  • Hostel: Approximately 150 students from various states across the nation reside in the Boy and Women's Hostel on campus. The hostel's amenities include a library, entertainment center, spaces for both indoor and outdoor sports, and even a gym, etc. The college charges a total fee of INR 90,000 per year inclusive of a refundable caution deposit and food charges. 
  • Transportation: The college, which is 26 kilometers from the city center, has good transportation with a new fleet of buses. Eight buses cover various routes throughout the city, serving staff and students alike.

Ans. APSCE strictly prohibits ragging in all forms. The college will take strict actions against anybody involved in ragging whether active or passive. Punishments include suspension/ expulsion of students from the college.

Ques. How to apply for BTech in APS College of Engineering?

Ans. A candidate must be eligible to apply for the B.E program at APSCE. The Karnataka State Pre-University Board requires students to have passed two years of pre-university exams in science to be eligible for admission to the B.E. program. Alternatively, students may have passed three years of diploma exams recognized by VTU. The requirements for PCM stream admissions include passing 10+12 with English as a core or elective subject recognized by the board. Both online and offline applications are accepted. There are three ways to apply to the APSCE B.E. program: through the Management Quota, COMEDK, and KCET. The Diploma KCET pathway is the only way for diploma students to apply for lateral entry admissions if they want to enroll in second-year B.E. courses.
