DAV Post Graduate College

DAV Post Graduate College, popularly known as DAV BHU, is a well-established college located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. DAV PG College was established in 1938 as an Intermediate college recognized by Banaras Hindu University (BHU). It got degree status from the University in 1947 and permanent affiliation in 1954. DAV BHU has been accredited witn an A+ grade by the NAAC. 

DAV BHU offers various UG and PG programmes including B.Com, B.A., M.Com and M.A. The college also provides various UG diploma, Advanced diploma, PG diploma and Certification courses as value added programs. Admission to all UG and PG courses at DAV BHU are done through the CUET examination.

DAV BHU Admission

DAV BHU offers admission to UG and PG programs in the fields of Arts, Science, and Commerce. DAV PG College offers courses at the UG level such as B.A (Hons) Arts, B.A (Hons) Social Sciences, B.Com (Hons) etc and at PG level the courses which are offered are M.A (Arts), M.A (Social Sciences), M. Com etc. To be eligible for UG courses at DAV PG College, candidates must have passed 10+2 level with a minimum 50% aggregate marks in the relevant disciplines. While candidates need to have a master’s degree with at least 50% marks to be eligible for PG courses. Admission to UG and PG courses will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. DAV PG College accepts CUET UG for UG and CUET PG scores for PG courses.

DAV BHU Cutoff 2023

As per the NIRF 2023 placement report of DAV BHU, the median salary package offered to UG students was INR 4 LPA while PG median package stood at INR 6.20 LPA. • Faculty: The faculties are actively involved in research and development activities, paper presentations/publications at national and international levels.
• Class rooms: 12 highly modernized smart class rooms fabricated with high quality display projectors and high speed internet facility. Each room can accommodate more than 100 students. Such classroom is set up with an endeavor to provide ICT enabled instruction
• Laboratories: The college has a number of well equipped laboratories including Commerce Laboratory, Archaeology Laboratory, Language Laboratory, Psychology Laboratory, Economics Laboratory.
• Seminar hall: It has a capacity of more than 150 people to sit together. It is fully air conditioned and equipped with echo absorbing technology. It has a high quality projector display facility as well.
• The E- Library: College has an extravagant facility of E-library with a high speed internet connectivity and Proper sitting space for research scholars. Photo State and printing facility are also available for students.
• Computer labs: Computer labs are for Post Graduate students only.
• The Indoor stadium: the college has a well equipped and modern indoor stadium.
• Hostel: Separate girls and boys hostel with good mess facilities is available.
