About Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences - [KIMS]

Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is a government medical college founded by the Government of Karnataka as an autonomous college in 2013. KIMS Koppal is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by the Medical Council of India. Located in Koppal, Karnataka, the institute is recognized by the National Medical Commission.

Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS at the undergraduate level and MD/MS at the postgraduate level. The Medical Council of India has approved an intake of 150 seats per year under MBBS. For the MBBS program, 15% of seats are reserved under the All India quota, while the remaining 85% are reserved under the State quota. KIMS Koppal accepts NEET UG and NEET PG for admission to MBBS and MD/MS. Students clearing NEET UG and NEET PG must undergo counselling for admission on All India and State Quota seats. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts counselling for state quota seats. Candidates pursuing MBBS at the institute will receive a stipend of INR 15,000 during their rotary internship. The average passing percentage is more than 80% for the regular batches.
