- Admission to all the programs of the college is done strictly on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination (Class 12th).

Alipore College Facility
- ICT enabled classroom: New Alipore College uses communication technology to enhance, optimize and complement the age old tradition of chalk-board style of teaching, adding to it the new age edge, with the use of infrastructure and multimedia. The chapters of the syllabus come alive with presentations, photographs and audio-visual elements.
- Library: The New Alipore College Library enriched with a large stock of valuable Books, both text and reference, Journals, Magazines and Daily News Papers for both lending and reference purposes. The library also provides access to subscribed and open access-resources through the digital library service. All the students and staff members have access to every resource and service provided by the library against the library membership card.
- Canteen: The college canteen serves fresh and healthy food at nominal rates.
- Laboratories: The laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipment so as to learn the proper knowledge and aspects of the subjects. The Hardware Laboratory is enriched with all kinds of instruments focusing the upcoming CBCS system. The software laboratory contains 40 computers with advanced specification to facilitate according to curriculum as well as advanced research projects.
- Common Rooms: The common rooms in New Alipore College gives the perfect platform for students to interact with one another, engage in cultural exchange with the rich diversity of students in our college and also relax with a game or two to lighten themselves. The boy’s common room hosts few of the most interesting programs of the college and engagement programs throughout the year.
- CCTV Surveillance: New Alipore College provides complete safety and security to the students as well as teachers and non-teaching staffs by providing 24*7 surveillance using CCTV cameras installed within the college campus. Cameras are installed in classrooms, laboratories, supply rooms, parking lots, front offices, common rooms, canteen and garden along with the awareness message of being under CCTV surveillance.
- Sports: Football, cricket, badminton and indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess etc are played and competitions are also held in different sessions of the year. Often, our college hosts different district level Sports and Games Championship.
- Other facilities include Wifi, Research laboratory, and ATM.
