PCET College Admissions

Admissions at Park College of Engineering and Technology generally take place through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling for B.E./B.Tech. courses, through TANCET counselling for M.E. courses, through TANCET MCA counselling and TANCET MBA counselling for MCA and MBA courses respectively. The details are as follows:

  • Candidates for the B.E./B.Tech. courses across all specialisations must go through TNEA counselling conducted every year by Anna University for admission process. They will be selected based on their 10+2 / 10+3 (in case of lateral entry) merit with respect to their preference of colleges. The counselling code for Park Engineering of Engineering and Technology is 2716.
  • Candidates for the post-graduate courses (M.E., MCA and MBA) would be selected via the TANCET counselling process.
  • Important Note: Candidates can choose to appear directly for admission to the college under Management Quota, NRI Quota and lapsed seats. An entrance examination would be conducted by the college on its campus which is a must for securing seats via these quotas.

How to Apply?

Students who wish to apply for the B.E. and B.E. (lateral entry) courses in Park College of Engineering and Technology may follow the below steps for the admission process:

  • Candidates must check their eligibility and apply for TNEA counselling at tneaonline.in before the deadline. It is advised for students to check for the notification from the month of March.
  • The University (Anna University) will publish the TNEA merit list which is based on the percentage that candidates have scored in their 10+2 exams. Based on the rank obtained, candidates will have to go for counselling on the specific date, time and venue.
  • Here, candidates will have to fill their choices of college according to their preferences.
  • The allotment of seats would be based on the merit, reservation and college preferences given by the student.

Students who wish to apply for the M.E., MBA and MCA courses in Park College of Engineering and Technology may follow the below steps for the admission process:

  • Candidates must check eligibility and apply for the TANCET exam.
  • A merit list would be released based on the TANCET scores by the TANCET exam conducting authorities, after which they must go for counselling on the prescribed date, time and venue.

PCET College Scholarships

PCET College Facilities

Following are the facilities provided by the college to cater to the needs of the students:

  • Hostel: The college offers separate hostel facilities for both girls and boys which are very well-equipped. The hostel has a mess which provides students with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food prepared in hygienic conditions. The students are given the choice of deciding the menu. Single accommodation rooms with international standards are also available on campus. The girls hostel can accommodate 400 students while the boys hostel can accommodate 650 students overall.
  • Library: The college library is a 8000 sqft space situated on the ground floor of Techno Park. It provides services to its students by providing valuable information in the form of books, journals and other materials relevant to their fields of study. It also provides access to digital resources. It is fully computerised and an OPAC system is available which can verify the current status of books in the library.
  • Sports & Gym: The campus has a ground of 12 acres to facilitate various sports such as cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis and badminton among many others. Indoor games include table tennis, carrom board, chess etc., Gym and yoga facilities are also available for students to utilize according to their needs. 
  • Computer and Internet Labs: Apart from the computer labs that have been set up for practical learning as part of the courses, the college also provides computer and internet centres for general purposes and learning during free time. These facilities are available to students beyond their college hours in order to help them work on their research projects etc.,

Ans. Lateral entry refers to a student entering college in 2ndyear. This applies to students who have done a 1-year diploma in a particular field. Any student who has passed a diploma exam from a recognized institute with 50% marks in the relevant branch of engineering or technology is allowed to apply to these lateral entry courses offered by Park College of Engineering and Technology.
