Shri S'ad Vidya Mandal Institute of Technology - [SVMIT] is situated in one of the historic cities, Bharuch. The city is over the banks of pious Narmada River that flows through Gujarat. The city has have had a very glorious history and has mythological importance as well. The city is famous for trading activities as well. A few aluminous personalities are Shri Balwant Rai Thakore, Shri Munsi Pandit Omkarnath Thakur, and Shri Krishnalal Jhaveri.

However, until 1955, higher education was not well flourished in Bharuch. But after 1954 October, when Swami Shri Atulnandiji happened to get connected with this city, his “Chaturmaas Puja” he realized this city lacks education. The mission of him and this college became making facilities for higher education easy and accessible to everyone with an emphasis laid on modern educational practices. The mandal registered under society’s registration act of 1860.

The vision of this College is to emerge as a center of technical excellence and research opportunities’ of great standards. It also envisages and focuses on overall personality development of an individual and instigates high levels of discipline in whatever they do. The college always strives for matching with global education and have rich technological aptitude to server for mankind.

The mission of this college is to commit themselves to achieving, sustaining and fostering unmatched exemplification in technical education. Through this, the college wishes to pursue continuous development of students by utilizing infrastructure of the college.
