About Sindri College

Sindri College, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, is a government college which was established in 1964. The College has been affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and also credited with NAAC. The College is a Constituent Unit of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad.

The College offers a range of Intermediate, Undergraduate courses in the streams of Arts, Commerce and Science and also vocational course which is self-financed.

Selection Criteria

Students applying for the Honors degree, need to have obtained a minimum of 45% in the concerned subject at Intermediate level. Students wanting to change their faculty from science/commerce to Arts Honors can do so provided they have received a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

All selections are strictly made on merit basis according to University rules.

How to apply?

Admissions are conducted in offline mode as the registration forms are available at the College itself.
Candidates wanting to apply to Sindri College need to fill the application form available at the college counter at Rs.25/-.
Selection process is undertaken on the basis of merit only.
List of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the notice board.
Students must complete the admission process on or before the due date. No extensions will be provided.
In case of vacant seats, preference will be provided to waiting list candidates.
At the time of admission, students are required to submit required documents like caste certificate, migration certificate, and income certificate among others.

Computer Lab: A fully equipped computer lab. The machines are loaded with all necessary softwares that is required by students for their practical sessions.
Library: The library is a powerhouse of information and knowledge with more than 1000 books available at the disposal for both students and faculty. Books can be borrowed following the registration process and other regulations set by the college.

Ans. Below is the 3 year course structure for B.A General Examination degree:

Nine papers, 3 of which will be Optional subjects

Ans. Yes. 3% seats for each undergraduate course is reserved for students performing exceptionally well in sports. This quota will be filled on the recommendation of the Athletic Committee on the basis of State/University level participation of the student.
