Tirumala Devaswom Medical College (TDMC) was initially started as private institution in 1963, but later approved as a Government Medical College. The college is rapidly developing into center of latest medical excellence, and aims to be one of the best medical colleges of the country in future. It also aims to produce individuals who will serve the community with the knowledge they obtained from the institution.

Wide range of departments: TDMC has numerous departments for learning and training starting from Anesthesiology to Urology. The total department strength includes 42. Some of the program that is offered by the institute are M.B.B.S, MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, BDS, BSc and MSc Nursing. Each year ample number of students are granted seats in the institute while it produces some of very talented graduates.

Central library for reference and additional learning: Central library is located in the ground floor of the admin block sprawling over 7198 sq ft area furnishing more than 20,362 books, 550 volumes, 16580 text books, 3232 book banks, 10 floppy discs, 56 compact discs along with subscription of15 foreign journals and 19 Indian journals annually.
