Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya Scholarships

Financial assistance in the form of scholarships and stipends is provided to needy and meritorious students by the Government.
SC/ST students get special financial assistance through various scholarships.
Students also get aid from the Government through ‘Jatiya Rin Britti Prokolpo’.
Needy and meritorious students get the opportunity to study in this college with full/half free studentship on the basis of their merit.
Students also get aid from some non-Govt. institution like S.J. Jindal Trust. New Delhi etc.
Students’ Union also provides financial aid to the needy and meritorious students from the ‘Students’ Aid Fund.

Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya Facilities

Following are the facilities provided by the college:

Library: The College has a Central Library. An Advisory Committee looks after the Library, which has 25835 books and subscribes to six Journals. The system of issuing the books is organised.
Playground: The College has two big playgrounds, a concrete pitch for cricket practice, and various sports equipment.
Sports: The College also organizes various Annual Sports in which participation comes from all levels including teaching and non-teaching staff members besides the most jubilant participation from students’ community.
Seminar room: The seminar room of the college has an excellent sound system, LCD projector, Internet facility which is used for seminars. Here cultural activities also take place.
Canteen: The College’s canteen assures food safety and quality. The mid-day meal is also provided. Even many day-scholars use canteen facilities for their breakfast and evening tea with snacks. The students are provided with three meals a day, bed coffee and evening tea/coffee.
Gymnasium: “A Healthy mind resides in a Healthy Body” is what this college peaches so the campus is equipped with an in-house gymnasium for all Students. It contains world class equipment like treadmills and strength machines for exercise and work out.
