Admissions at Government Polytechnic Adityapur is completely based on the merit in the entrance and the qualifying exam. Candidates have to qualify the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) which is a state-run entrance exam to apply to polytechnic colleges in the state which needs to be applied online.

Candidates first of all need to register themselves and fill in the details after which their registration ID will be generated and sent to them.
