UG Admissions

Admission to the course B.V.Sc. & A.H. under general quota is done strictly on merits obtained in the entrance exam KCET.
A merit list is prepared on the basis of 50% of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in the common entrance test conducted by Govt. of Karnataka as per “Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Regulations 2008” prescribed by Veterinary Council of India.

Note: Admission to the institute is made subject to reservation of seats for SC/ ST/ Cat 1/OBC as prescribed by the State Government seats under reservation quota.

PG and Doctoral Admission

Selection for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. is done on the basis of the student’s performance in Bachelor and Master degree program respectively.
A written test is also conducted by the University for admission to both the courses.
The written test for admission is of undergraduate level and contains 100 objective type questions with four responses.
Due weightage is also given to the students who have the medals won in academics, sports, and cultural activities, passed in ICAR/JRF examinations, and those students who are Physically handicapped / Anglo-Indians / Scouts & Guides / Children of ExServicemen / Defense personnel.
The final selection of candidates for both the courses is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the above-mentioned points.

Ans. For UG course seats are reserved for SC/ ST/ Cat 1/OBC as prescribed by the State Government. Further, reservations during admission also include special categories viz., rural, Kannada medium study, NCC, sports, scouts and guides, children of Ex-servicemen, candidates with Physical Disability (Physically Handicapped) and candidates from the Anglo-Indian community.
