Budge Budge College Facilities

• Classrooms and laboratories: The college consists of a total of 18 classrooms and 8 laboratories. The laboratories and classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards, LCD projectors and desktop facility coupled with all time internet access.

The college also has some special scientific laboratories for extensive research such as - 

• Biosciences Instrumentation Research Laboratory
• Commerce Computer Laboratory
• Geographic Information System Laboratory

The college also has a computer centre with 10 workstations to impart basic computer skills to the students.

Additionally, there is an eighty seater convention centre/seminar hall to conduct seminars and workshops. It is a centrally air - conditioned hall with a smart board and LCD projector to have an enriching learning experience.

• Library: The library of budge budge college is it’s most notable feature. The library houses an enormous collection of 22,000 plus texts and reference books spanning across a variety of disciplines. 

Additionally, the library has an impressive collection of journals, magazines, career-counseling periodicals , CDs/DVDs, newspapers in English and Bengali for reference and research purposes.

The library also uses Linux based software to provide a computerized access to the faculty and students. A database of 18,000 volumes has been made available to be accessible by the students. 

The college is also a registered member of University Grants Commission’s National online project “Information Library Network” or “INFLIBNET”.

Some of the unique features of the library include the library orientation session at the beginning of each academic year and the facility of seminar library for each department. 

• Common room: The college has the facility of a separate common room for both boys and girls. This gives them the chance to refresh themselves amidst their hectic schedules, mingle with each other and bond with the fellow students. 
• Sick room: The college also provides the facility of a sick room equipped with comfortable bedding and a well stocked first aid kit with all the essential medical supplies. It is done to provide immediate medical assistance to the faculty, staff and students in the case of ill health and medical emergencies. 
• Canteen: The college also houses a small canteen to serve refreshments and snacks to the students and faculty at a minimal cost. The canteen serves a variety of food items, keeping in mind the quality and hygiene of the food. 
• Gym: The college also has an in campus gym facility with all the major equipment in order to help the students stay fit.
