About Deer Park Institute - [DPI]

Deer Park Institute [DPI] was established in 2006 and located in city Kangra, State of Himachal Pradesh. The institute offers two courses Diploma in Philosophy and Certificate Course in Yoga and majority of students attending courses here are laypeople of all ages. The Institute was founded under Siddhartha’s Intent Society, a registered society under the Societies Act, 1860 with charitable status.

The vision of institute is to re-create the spirit of Nalanda, a great university of ancient India in which all traditions of Buddhism were studied and practiced, alongside other schools of classical Indian philosophy, arts and sciences. The library has collection of more than 5000 English, Hindi and Tibetan books on Buddhism, Indian Philosophy, Classical Tibetan and Sanskrit Studies, Ecology, Art and Literature. The institute has all necessary facilities in the campus area.
