Education college, Murshidabad is a NCTE recognized institute for teacher education. Though located in a remote village, the college inculcates core values in the students and imparts quality education which leads to national development, global competency and Excellency. The college offers both Bachelors and Masters in education, both of one year duration. Overall development through education and other allied activities remain the main purpose of the institution. Within the last few years the institution has shown excellent results.

• Active Learning: Activities like debating, ex-tempore, quizzes, group discussions and brain storming games are organized to engage students in active learning.
• Well-built infrastructure: The institute has all the infrastructure facilities like laboratories, Seminar room, library, gymnasium, playground, Multi-purpose hall, canteen, common rooms etc. catering to all the needs of the students.
• Publishing of study materials: the college encourages the students to publish catalogues and wall magazines related to their field of study, contribute articles to college magazine and also write other materials like teaching aids, books etc. A magazine and publishing committee has also been formulated for the same.
• Anti-ragging cell: Ragging being totally prohibited in the college promises, the institute has an anti-ragging cell which is liable to punish students caught in the act of ragging.
