About Eternal University - [EU]

Eternal University, Baru Sahib was established under the Himachal Pradesh Private Universities Act with effect from April 29, 2008. It is a Self-Financed Private University recognized by the UGC under the UGC act of 1956. It is located at a sprawling 8, 00,000 sq. ft campus at Baru Sahib. It is NAAC accredited & ISO 9001: 2015 Certified University established under the Himachal Pradesh Private University (Establishment & Regulation) Act 2006 & Himachal Pradesh Government Act.no. 3 of 2009

It offers undergraduate, postgraduate & Doctorate courses for girls only in agriculture, basic science, health and allied sciences, engineering and technology, education, economics, commerce and management, arts and social sciences.

Admission to other UG/PG/PHD courses will be done on the basis of merit and entrance exams.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed the intermediate exam from Higher Secondary 10+2 equivalent with a minimum of 55% Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry taken together.

EU Admissions

The mode of application to Eternal University is online as well as offline. For online mode, candidates are required to fill the application form available on official website of theuniversity. For offline mode, candidates are required to download the application form from the university website and submit it at the university office.

  • Admissions to B.Tech are given on the basis of JEE Main or HPCET scores.
  • Admission to B.Tech Lateral entry is offered to the candidates on the basis of HP LEET scores.
  • For M.Tech, admission will be given on the basis of GATE or HPCET scores.
  • In the case of MBA, admission will be given on the basis of CMAT / CAT / MAT / HPCET scores
  • For admission to B.Sc. Nursing/Agriculture, candidates must attain a valid score in Eternal University Entrance Examination
  • Admission to other UG/PG courses will be done on the basis of merit
  • For admission to PhD, candidates must attain a valid score in EU Entrance Examination

How to Apply online in the EU?

  • Fill up the application form available on the official website of the EU.
  • Pay the required registration fee online when asked.
  • Appear in the relevant exam for the specific course (JEE, CAT, GATE). 
  • Admissions are made on the basis of scores in that exam.
  • During the counselling, ensure the availability of all the necessary documents as instructed by the College.
  • Seats are allotted on the basis of Counselling.

EU Scholarships

There are Government scholarship schemes for students enrolled in the Eternal University. The Scholarship is for Minority, SC/ST, and OBC. The documents required to avail the scholarship are – 10th, 12th, and UG certificates, cast certificate, religion Certificate, Residential proof, backward tribes, Aadhar card, passport size photo, bank account on student name.

EU provides various facilities:

Campus:

  • Wi-Fi enabled campus with Internet connectivity at 4Mbps on 24 hr basis
  • Class Rooms & Lecture Halls with good seating arrangements and equipped with Audio-Visual aids such as LCD Projectors, etc
  • The library has a current archive of 17,000 books & incorporates digital facilities such as online book reservation
  • The conference hall has a seating capacity of 100 persons
  • Auditorium having a seating capacity of 300 audiences & equipped with all modern facilities
  • A charitable hospital with 200 beds inside the campus for student & staff members

Hostel:

  • 1 Boy’s & 2 Girl’s hostel are located within the University campus
  • Indoor game facility on every floor, Common Room with TV set, Mess facility
  • 24 Internet access at 2Mbps, Gymnasium, Guest lodging facility etc

Sports:

  • 100x60 meter playfield with floodlights
  • Track field Athletics, Separate Gymnasium for boys & girls on the campus with all latest equipment

Library: Eternal University has a central library with a large selection of books and other documents. In addition to central library there are two departmental libraries i.e. library of Akal College of Education and library of Akal College of Nursing. Eternal university library is fully automated by using ERP. Library has more than 40,000 books, including text books, general books for personality development, general knowledge books, reference books and competitive exam books. The library is very spacious and has a sitting capacity for more than 250 users at a time with computer lab and Wi Fi facilities.

NSS: At Eternal University, special efforts are put in to develop students’ personality through community services. NSS (National Service Scheme) at Eternal University is a voluntary association being run by students themselves under guidance from faculty members. Various NSS camps are organized every year where students undertake various social welfare activities like Tree Plantation and awareness programs on drug de-addiction, AIDS, Swine-flu and campaigns for saving water and cleanliness.

NCC: The National Cadet Corps (India) was formed under NCC Act of 1948 and is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”.

Eternal University is affiliated with under the control of 1 HP Girls Bn Solan (HP).

Ans. Eternal University has adopted 5 nearby Panchayats of Baru Sahib and 10-15 Villages are covered under these 5 Panchayats. Akal College of Agriculture helps the local farmers in many ways as Sirmour has very high proportion of small and medium farmers with least knowledge of recent farming techniques. Eternal University is providing them Plant Health Clinics and Soil Testing lab support with the demonstration of various new and advance farming techniques by using which lifestyle of the farmers can be upgraded. Activities like KisanMelas are conducted to demonstrate villagers about various new farming techniques and new varieties available in the market which can benefit farmers more.
