Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology - [IBB]

Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (IBB), Pune was established in 2002. The college is an autonomous institute with an affiliation to the University of Pune. It is approved by University Grants Commission (U.G.C). The College offers Post Graduate courses and Ph.D. in Biotechnology. The main focus areas for research are metabolic disorders, biofilms, drug development, environmental biotechnology and bioenergy. Every year, IBB conducts an open entrance exam to select new admissions from students who have completed their XII Std.

IBB main vision is to achieve excellence at the global level in research in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. It provide best education in the highly competitive field of biotechnology and bioinformatics. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls. Every year admissions begin in month of June-July.
