Institute of Management Studies Roorkee, established in 1996 is one of the premier institutes of higher Professional Management Education affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The Management Institute, Roorkee offers numerous programs in Commerce, Computer and Management discipline at the UG and PG level. Admission to the UG courses offered by the institute is done based on the candidate’s performance in the previous qualifying examination, whereas for MBA course admission is done based on the candidate’s performance in the national level management entrance examination such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT. 

The placement cell at IMS, Roorkee aims at providing placement to maximum number of students. Some of the top recruiters of the institute are Bisleri, HCL, ITC Limited, India Bulls, ICICI Limited among others. A total of 17 faculty members are there in the institute and all of them are highly educated and experts in their respective fields.

• Candidates applying for the UG courses at IMS should have completed their HSC education and for the PG courses, students must have completed their UG education.
• IMS Roorkee is spread over 3 acres and the overall campus is planned to ensure a well-manicured lawn that makes IMS one of the most beautiful campuses in the region. 
• The computer lab at IMS is air conditioned, centrally located and functionally designed building and is provided with the state-of-the-art computing resources to cater to the requirements of the tutorial as well as the administrative activities of the Institute. 
• Library of IMS Roorkee was set-up as one of the Key divisions, and now it has a core collection of 13,000 books and subscribes to 27 learned periodicals in online and hard copy.
• The Placement Session of 2018-19 was remarkably another successful session for the placement cell by placing 80% of those batch students.
