Jansons School of Business Facilities

Following are some major facilities by the college:-

Library: JSB has a well-stocked library containing about 17,700 books and subscribes to about 88 journals. The library also has a subscription to the EBSCO Database which has almost 1000 international journals relating to all fields of management, in addition to CAPITAINE. This feature provides the facility, to the students and the teaching staff, to access the international research papers and gather knowledge. To ensure a comprehensive digital teaching-learning experience, JSB has in place an all-encompassing Learning Management System (LMS). All the courses at JSB are routed through the LMS, and student evaluations/assessments are done through this digital platform

Lecture Hall: JSB has four gallery-type lecture halls; all of them are air-conditioned and IT-enabled with LCD and OHP projectors. Each hall can accommodate up to 120 students. The hi-tech lecture halls are so endowed to simulate a modern corporate setting and to give our students the ambiance of professional learning.

Elective Lecture Hall: There are two lecture halls for electives, with a seating capacity of about 40. These halls are well furnished with audio-video devices like LCD / OHP projectors. These fully air-conditioned halls act as points where intensive teaching and learning can take place.

Board Room And Syndicate Room: JSB has a state-of-the-art Board Room for all official meetings and discussions. JSB has six fully air-conditioned syndicate rooms, which serve as an excellent setting for student meetings and short conferences. These rooms can accommodate up to 15 people and are used for activities like group discussions and practice interview sessions.

Computer Center: The Computer Centre at Jansons School of Business is responsible for a network of Computers with intranet and internet facilities. There are computers installed at the Computer Centre in the Academic Block, and also in classrooms, administrative offices, syndicate rooms, conference hall, and hostels. All faculty members are given laptops and are regularly maintained by the Computer Centre. The Computer Centre also takes care of the wi-fi enabled campus that JSB is. 

Library And Information Centre: JSB-LIC is housed in the Academic Block, which contains the state-of-the-art infrastructure for library services, and has a unique resource collection of international standard. JSB-LIC functions in a complete bar-coded and computerized web-based AUTOLIB system. A user within the campus is enabled to search and source in library resources through the campus-wide network. This two-storied air-conditioned center is spread over 4500 sq. ft. The Ground Floor consists of Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, Back volumes, project Reports, and Reference Books. This has a seating capacity of 72, and the First Floor consists of Books & CDs / DVDs for borrowing. This has a seating capacity of 64. 

Auditorium: Padma Auditorium, with a capacity to seat 400 people, is the most sought after venue to conduct important events like Graduation Day and Corporate Connect Programmes.

Food Court: The Food Court offers both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food prepared in a modern well-equipped kitchen.

Hostel: The amiable student-friendly atmosphere at JSB is the driving factor behind the consistent growth found in its inmates. The JSB hostel is a home-away-from-home in its warmth and care. The spacious, fully furnished hostel rooms are provided with modern amenities including work tables, telephone, adequate wardrobes, and special facilities for the use of Personal Computers and the Internet in every room.

Fitness Centre: The Fitness Centre is functioning in the Hostels. This facility is open to all the staff and students. Separate sections are available for Men and Women. There are halls for practicing Yoga. Yoga is a part of the MBA program at JSB. Equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, the center focuses its attention on developing and maintaining physical fitness, weight reduction, and bodybuilding.

Sports & Games: JSB believes in providing MBA graduates with a holistic approach to life, and in this manner, sports and games come to play a very important role in the daily life of every student of JSB. With a cricket ground, a football ground, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a shuttle court, and a tennis court, JSB aims to bring out the true spirit of playing games. Eventually, JSB considers a healthy mind in a healthy body to be the very hallmark of education. There is the added advantage of creating camaraderie and team spirit among MBA graduates, by promoting sports activities.
