Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) is an autonomous engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college was approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, and started in 2001. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline of Engineering & Technology and Management. Admission to NMIT depends on the performance of the candidates in various State/ National level entrance examinations.

The Nitte University Common Admission Test (NUCAT) is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility for admission to the First Year of full-time BTech, MTech, MBA & MCA programs at the NMIT, Bangalore.

Admission procedure:

Admission to the Engineering program under the General Category is based on merit in the Online All India Entrance Test - NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test). Below are the steps for the application process for B.Tech, M. Tech, MBA and MCA at NMIT, Bangalore:

Step 1: Candidates must complete and submit the online application form for NUCAT to be eligible for admission to the B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or MBA programs. Application form available at apply.nitte.edu.in
Step 2: Candidates will have to appear for the NUCAT conducted by the Nitte Deemed to be University, Mangalore.
Step 3: Counselling will be conducted for filling the seats under the two categories - Nitte Merit Scholarship and General, in each of the programs based on the NUCAT Merit List.

Ans: Yes, NMIT provides hostel facilities for the students. NMIT provides On-campus Hostels for about 1000 boys and 500 girls. There are four hostels for boys and two for girls. Twin and triple sharing rooms are available. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available for students.
