It is running under Bhai Kanhaiya Sewa Society. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to the Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar.

Hostel:
RIET Campus has 2 hostels for boys and girls separately. Modern facilities are offered to the students to provide them a comfortable life. Wi-Fi enabled buildings offering state of the art facilities such as Gymnasium, Common room, Study room, indoor & outdoor games. Air cooling facility is also available with extra charges. Boys’ hostel has accommodation capacity of 106 students in 53 rooms while girls hostel provides accommodation to 102 students in 52 rooms.
