Sacred Heart College, Kochi, is a pioneer institute of higher education. The institute was established in 1944 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. In the year 2000, the college was accredited by the NAAC and was reaccredited at the A level. UG Courses

Seat Matrix: 184 seats are allocated in Science stream, 230 seats are for Commerce Stream, and 154 seats are for Arts Stream.

Fees: The fees for UG courses is INR 3000 - 12000.

Seat Matrix: 98 seats are allocated in Science stream, 32 seats are for Commerce Stream, and 91 seats are for Arts Stream

How to Apply?

The procedure to take admission in UG/PG program is the same that is as follows:

• A single online application is needed for admission. If more than one application is submitted his/her candidature will be canceled.

• Candidates seeking admission through Lakshadweep quota should submit a separate application directly to the college or online procedure can also be followed.

Application Fees:

General UG/PG: INR 250/300 (including all taxes)

SC/ST UG/PG: INR 100/150 (including all taxes)

Mandatory Documents

Following is the list of documents required for all the courses at the time of admission:

• Allotment Memo received online.

• Receipt of application fee from the bank.

• Certificate to prove date of birth.

• Transfer Certificate (TC) from the Institution last attended.

• Mark lists of all parts of the Plus Two / equivalent examination.

• Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University, in the case of candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other Boards/Institutes/governments, except CBSE/CISCE

• Category certificate (if any).

Sacred Heart College Reservation Policy

• Candidates from Lakshadweep: An additional seat in each program is reserved for the candidates from Lakshadweep. 

• PWD : 3% of the seats are reserved for candidates under the PWD category.

• Sports quota: Two seats under each program are reserved for candidates with outstanding records in sports & games.

Note: There is no reservation under the Science stream.

Sacred Heart College Facilities And Activities

Sacred Heart College offers various facilities and activities to the students. It also follows a marvelous educational method that improves their skills and knowledge as per industry standards. Regular projects, workshops, seminars, cultural programs are also conducted for the overall development of the student. Well stacked library, hostels, seminar halls, canteen are some of the facilities offered by the college.
