Sahodaran Ayyappan Smaraka SNDP Yogam College was awarded by Khadi and Village Industries Development Agency of India in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment.

Admission to the undergraduate courses takes place through Mahatma Gandhi University- UnderGraduate Centralised Allotment Process (MGU-UGCAP). Admission to the postgraduate courses takes place through Mahatma Gandhi University- Post Graduate Centralised Allotment Process (MGU-PGCAP). How to apply?

The candidate will have to fill the application form for UGCAP or PGCAP on the official website of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala
The candidate will have to fill in personal and academic details in the application form.
The candidate will also have to fill in the name of the course(s) and the college name(s) in order of preference.
The candidate will not be allotted any course or college other than what he/she has mentioned in the application form.
The candidates will be allowed to edit or delete a course(s) or college(s) from their preferences until the provisional rank list is released.
The candidate must fill the form with the utmost care and accuracy.
After filling the form, the candidate will then have to pay the remittance fee.
After payment of the remittance fee, the candidate will be taken back to the application form.
The candidate will have to upload the required documents on the application form.
The candidate will be asked to check all the information provided in the application form before submitting it.
After submitting the form, the candidate must take a print out of the application form for future reference.
The university will release a provisional rank list of the candidates who have applied.
The university will then release the first allotment round.
Candidates can check their rank with the ranks in the first allotment.

Center Sector Scholarship: The objective of the scheme is to cover the cost of education of SC students. It is meant for those candidates who belong to the SC category, belong to a financially weak family and are enrolled in a full-time course in a recognized institution.
Kerala State Higher Education Scholarship: The scheme is meant for those students who are enrolled in Mahatma Gandhi University or Kerala University or Calicut University, who have passed 10+2 with 60% (SC candidates) or 65% (OBC candidates) or 75% (other candidates) or 45% (physically disabled candidates) or pass (ST candidates).

Hostel: The College does not have a separate building as a hostel. It arranges the stay for its students at boarding houses or home stay.

Ans. The College has several activity clubs that its students can join. Some of them are Film club, Literary club, Debate club, Cultural club, Health and Wellness Club, Spoken English Club, and Tourism Club.

Ques. Does the college have a dress code?

Ans. Yes, the college has a dress code for its students. The students are strictly required to follow the dress code every day, except on Wednesdays. If the student is found violating the dress code norms, he/she will be fined INR 50 for every day the norm is violated.

Ans. The college has a strict policy against ragging. It is banned by the college authorities. If a student is found guilty of ragging or abetting in ragging, he/she will have to face punishment under the guidelines of the Government and UGC.
