The college offers government and non-government scholarships for the students based on merit. SDME trust offers merit-based and need-based monthly scholarships only for postgraduate students. Some Government and nongovernment scholarships are C.V. Raman Scholarship, Defence Scholarship, Ammembal Subba Rao Pai Memorial Fund, Udupi Scholarship, Arkula Vittal Shenoy Charitable Trust, Bangalore Scholarship.

SDM College Ujire Facilities and Hostel

SDM College Ujire offers great infrastructure and various facilities. The College Campus (UG and PG) is situated in the pristine land area of 47.1 acres amidst the scenic beauty at the foothills of the Western Ghats in Belthangady Taluk. The carbon neutral campus of the institute is maintained under the lush green foliage. The water used for primary purposes is treated in an STP and used for secondary purposes. Other basic amenities such as Vijaya Bank, Post Office, Multi-Facility Centre, Cooperative Store, Vehicles, Internet and WiFi, etc. provide a conducive academic environment. Some other details about SDM College Ujire facilities are given below:

• Hostel: SDM College Ujire has separate boys and girls hostels. Both the hostels have a well furnished accommodation facility with 44 two bedded, 11 three bedded and 74 four bedded rooms accommodating a total of 400 students in each hostel. They are located behind the PG campus of SDMC Ujire, about one kilometre away from the Dharmasthala Maha Dwara at Ujire. These hostels have a common dining hall ‘Divyahna’ which caters to the nutrition requirements of the students, four times a day. The mess provides clean, hygienic and sumptuous vegetarian food. Hostel residents have access to facilities such as sports, multi gym, health care and Wi-Fi.
• Sports: The institute has indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The Indraprastha auditorium is a geodesic model indoor stadium. Its outdoor playground has sufficient facilities for sports like football, handball, netball, basketball, hockey, swimming, etc. The sports students also have a separate hostel. 
• Health Care: In case of health issues, on call medical facilities are provided at the SDM Hospital, Ujire run by the management. Institutional vehicles are made available for emergency transportation round the clock, on-call doctors visit to the college and hostels are arranged, periodical free health checks up is arranged, sports injuries are treated in the SDM Yoga and Nature Cure Hospital, special concessions on medical expenses are offered to general students, and free treatment to sports students is available.
• Gym: The gym is specially constructed with the view to maintain fitness of the sports candidates. It is freely available for all the students and staff. The multigym consists of various standard equipment’s like incline and decline bench, pushup bars, plates set, gym bars, and many other fitness equipment.
• Library: The SDMCU library, the powerhouse of the institution, is a pride of our college. Our library is housed in a state of art 11,860 sq.ft building with all modern amenities and facilities having a seating capacity of 400 users. A well stacked collection of 1,10,806 books, 145 journals and  periodicals which include rare books, thesis, dissertation, bound volumes of journals, student research projects, American library article collections, book bank books, departmental annual reports and non book materials like E-journals, E-books, and CAL packages.
• Cafeteria: The cafeteria is one of its kind in architecture, ambience, space and facilities serves healthy and hygienic vegetarian food at a subsidized rate. The advanced technology used in roofing and interiors have caught the sight of many. A self-service system is adopted for the user convenience.
• Classrooms/ AV Rooms: A total of 67 class rooms, 63 of which are Wi-Fi enabled and 50 of which have LCD’s , 3 with Televisions, and 10 with portable LCD’s. There are audio visual rooms as value additions to the same. Halls are equipped with a white board, projector and a room PC or input for laptop connection. The lecture theaters are more spacious than classrooms, with advanced range of AV equipment.
• Other Facilities: Various labs, gardens, and other facilities like counselling, mentorship, etc catering to the academic and personal development of the students are available at SDM College Ujire campus.
