Sri Venkateswara University Directorate of Distance Education was introduced in April 1995 with an objective to provide higher educational opportunities to the people who were deprived of the same earlier. It was initiated by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to the same.
