About Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University

Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, located in the Bikaner city of Rajasthan, was established in 1987. The university offers B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses in profuse specializations. Further, it also offers a Ph.D. (Agriculture) & Ph.D. (Home Science) in various specializations and 2 certificate courses through correspondence. The university is approved by UGC. Admissions to various UG & PG courses are sought through the entrance exam whereas, for Ph.D. admissions, the entrance exam is followed by an interview round. Applications are invited offline only. In 2018-19, a total of 75 students were successfully placed in the recruitment drive.

SKRAU Bikaner Scholarship

The college has been arranging scholarships on the basis of merit and also on the basis of family income and reservation category.

RBSE Ajmer Scholarship: INR 10,000 every year for meritorious students on Intermediate graduate marks.
SC/ST Post matric Scholarship: Scholarships by the Government of Rajasthan varying from INR 140 to INR 740 per month depending on the course, hostel stay, type, of course, being undertaken.
ICAR MCM Scholarship: INR 300 per month and INR 750 per year for students whose family income is less than INR 1,00,000 per year.
National Talent Scholarship: Students selected through the ICAR exam and are from other states: INR 1,000 per month during study years.

SKRAU Bikaner Facilities

The university campus provides students with various facilities to make their college life worth remembering and further to ease their experience. Some of the facilities available at the campus include:

Central Library: The university campus has a central library consisting of 1,832 books and 105 journals for students as well as the staff. Students can issue 5 books at a time from the library.
Training Center: The university has its own farm implements, machinery testing & training center. The objective of this cell is to give fellow students an idea about the working environment and machinery.
Computer Applications: The university campus also consists of the Center for Information Management & Computer Management. It controls various IT activities and also provides high-speed internet up to 1 GBPS to students.
Stadium: The university campus has its own outdoor stadium. It has a separate basketball court. The students can enjoy different sports at this stadium.
Vice-Chancellor Running Trophy Tournament: The Directorate conducts the vice-chancellor running trophy for various games for the non-teaching staff every year.
