About Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University - [TNTEU]
Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University is a state university established by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu for promoting the excellence in teacher’s education. It is the only one of its kind in the country. The main object of the university is to provide good training and a proper degree of the teachers; so that they can build up better students. There are 657 TNTEU Affiliated Colleges that are offering Bachelor of Education degree Course.
The courses offered by TNTEU include B.Ed, M.Ed, and research programs in the field of education. The university provides the Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship Scholarship for SC/ ST Candidates. Admission to the university is both merit and entrance-based. Students are shortlisted on the basis of mask obtained either in the previous qualifying examination or in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

TNTEU Admission
Admission at Tamil Nadu Teachers University is both merit and entrance-based. Admission to B.Ed, M.Phil, and Part-time PhD program is based on merits obtained by the students in the previous qualifying examination. Whereas, Admission to M.Ed and Full-time PhD is entrance-based. The entrance test is conducted by the university itself.
