About Translational Health Science and Technology Institute - [THSTI]
Translational Health Science and Technology Institute- [THSTI] is an autonomous institute of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology with a prime ideology of contributing most of its beyond discovery and research. It was established in the year 2009 at Faridabad, Haryana.
THSTI offers a Ph.D. degree in different programs of Biomedical Science Research affiliated by Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), New Delhi. This Ph.D. program is solely run under JNU norms for doctoral degrees. Admission to this program starts in the month of June according to certain eligibility criteria.

Short Term Training Program for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students is also offered by THSTI with a training completion certificate at the end of the program. Admission to this program is accepted throughout the year.

THSTI Admissions
Admissions at THSTI is announced in June every year for Ph.D. students. The Ph.D. program is governed by JNU. Admission is based on merit for those students who have a master's degree in a relevant field and have qualified JRF examination. For those who have MBBS/MD/MDS from a recognised University and SRF fellowship has to write an entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview round, on the basis of which students are admitted.
For Short-Term Training Program, admission is done directly.
How to apply?
- For PHD, the application form is accepted through online mode only.
- Candidates have to register on the official website for online application.
- After successful registration, log in for filling the application form.
- Scanned copies of the required documents should be uploaded on the website.
- After filling up the application form completely, the candidates can make payment through different payment options.
- Submit the form after the payment. For General candidates the fee is INR 500 and for reserved categories it is INR 250.
- For Short term training program, candidates can apply at any time of the year by sending an email along with required documents to the supervisor of the respective interest at THSTI.

THSTI Facilities
THSTI provides an extensive range of facilities to its academic partners and industry. All necessary resources are available for the research. Some major facilities are as follows:
- Bioassay Laboratory- This laboratory is used for the clinical development and testing of vaccines. All the available equipment in the laboratory has been calibrated and validated as per NABL requirements.
- Biorepository- It is constructed in the area of 2766sq.ft. All the stored specimens are secured by alphanumeric codes. This repository ensures the storage of high-quality biospecimens.
- Small Animal Facility
- Data Management Centre- It provides support and helps to manage large numbers of data at THSTI. Data is kept secured wand backed up at regular intervals.
