About University of Agricultural Sciences - [UAS]

University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur (UAS) was established in 1932. UAS offers 12 UG courses, 12 PG courses and 10 PHD courses under the Agriculture and Agriculture Science departments (Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Social Sciences, Forestry and many others).. The admission process can be completed through both online and offline mode.

All admission procedures are done strictly on basis of the merit list/marks obtained. Top courses are the B.Sc., B.Tech and M.Tech as well as MSc courses that it offers in UG and PG courses respectively. It provides PHD courses also.

Admission to BSc and B.Tech programs is based on the scores in the practical test conducted by the University and rank in the merit list. For Masters and Ph.D. courses, the exams are conducted by the university itself. There is no age limit for all UG and PG courses. UAS has a total number of 215 Seats.

UAS Raichur Admissions

All admissions are based on the Merit list rankings and exams conducted by the university. An application form has been provided in the official website. Offline forms are not available. Application fee is to be paid through demand draft.

How to Apply?

Visit the official website of the university.
Download the application form after going to the ‘apply now’ tab.
Enter all the information required in the application form.
You need to select the programs for which you are applying for admission (You can select a maximum of two streams).
You will then have to attach the required documents along with the photo, signature and left-hand thumb impression.
After filling up all the details, you should review the completed form.
Once everything is done, submit the form.

Note: The entrance test will be conducted for both the programs in which the candidates have to answer 100 questions in 75 minutes.

UAS Raichur Placements

The college has its own placement cell which looks upon the needs of the graduates as well as the companies. It has a specialized team of training officers. They consistently connect to the major agricultural companies and build a connection between the companies and the graduates.

Job opportunities regarding the course are huge, some of them like agriculture officers, bank field officers, any private companies will intake the students as a sales manager or researcher. There is also an opportunity to write a jrf (junior research fellowship) exam where the fellowship is given up to completion of a master's degree.

UAS Raichur Facilities

UAS contains all the major facilities. Facilities available are Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel, Gym, Library, Cafeteria, Auditorium, Lots of Laboratories, Farming systems, irrigation gadgets, Seminar Hall, Sports, and Guest Room.

The Central Library, which has been established which has a lot of national and international books available for its students. Reference journals are available.
Boys and Girls Hostel as well as separate houses for the guest as well as properly maintained mess are available. The club activities are scheduled round the year with activities related to attitude, sports, aptitude, soft-skills, mock interview, social activities and many more.
Various Laboratories are built in the University such as Central instrumentation Centre, Tissue culture laboratory, Plant Molecular Biology Laboratory, Bio-control Laboratory, Seed Testing Laboratory, Agriculture Processing Plant Health Clinic, Molecular Plant Pathology Laboratory and Food Engineering Laboratory, Aris-students Computer Faculties, Research form and Poly house, Integrated Farming System Unit, Precision Farming Lab etc.
University has a consumer store which has all the necessary things for students and staff etc.
Health Care Centers are also available for the student’s safety.
A DTP & Reprographic Center is present inside the campus.
The seminar hall with a capacity to seat 500 students with highly advanced equipment such as multimedia projectors and quality sound system is housed in the campus. Guest lectures, seminars, and conferences are conducted in the seminar hall through which students are provided a lively environment to exchange their innovative ideas and be updated with the current technical scenario around the world.
