About Anugrah Narayan Singh College - [ANS] Barh
Founded in 1950, Anugrah Narayan Singh College, Barh (Patna) is one of the premier institute of the region.It provides the facility to complete the higher education for under graduates and post graduate courses. Other than these courses the college runs two job based courses like B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Application) and ASPSM (Advertising Sales Promotion and Sales Management) etc.
Research is done in the faculty of Arts and Science department of the college. Since 01.04.1975, it is the constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. There are 15 port graduates and undergraduates departments with about 50 qualified teaching staff.
Anugrah Narayan Singh College has its own spacious campus with its attractive building, auditorium, garden and play grounds, There is vast potentiality to develop new building for opening new departments with proper expertise.
Facilities :
LIBRARY
The college has a vast collection of books in the library. The library acts as back bone to all academic activity. There is a collection of nearly 50000 text and reference books and near about 1000 of journals & Magazines available in the library. Reading room are spacious and fully functional for students and teacher. Xerox machine and internet facility is also provided by the library.
NATIONAL CADET CORPS(NCC)
NCC facility is also available for the students in the college. Trained teachers are deputed for it. Interested students are allowed to contact the programme officer of NCC wing for availing these facility.
NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
The college has started the National Service Scheme for the students to encourage them in involving themselves in college hospitality projects. The enrolled students of NSS are doing remarkable work in maintaining discipline and cleanness in the college premises.
