BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology (BCDAPT) was established in 2006 by BCDA Members Benevolent Trust. It is one of the oldest organizations in the trade of medicines with more than 32,000 members all over Kolkata. The college is situated inside the modern city of Kolkata at 78 Jessore Road, Hridaypur, Barasat city and is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), Kolkata.

BCDAPT, Barasat, West Bengal offers undergraduate courses in the field of pharmacy. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and Pharmacy Council of India.

The minimum eligibility for admission to B. Pharma course is 10+2 while a D. Pharm degree is required for admission to B. Pharm (Lateral) course. The selection of candidates is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

As per the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018, the BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology is ranked under the 76 – 100 Rank Band.

• Library and E-Library: The college provides a well-maintained and stocked library full of academic books, CDs / DVDs, and research papers. The library is open for 8 hours for each and every person teaching or studying in the college. At present there are 7500 books and 710 titles in the library, books are published by renowned Indian and overseas publishers and 10 National as well as 05 international journals.
• Hostels: College offers in-campus well-structured hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Separate buildings are prepared for fresher students to avoid ragging. In the hostel, full-time water, laundry, and power facility is provided.
• Laboratories: College has well-equipped laboratories to ensure that students get the latest technology with the best infrastructure facility. The college also has set up a modern computer laboratory with a terminal student ratio 1:1 each node equipped with a P-IV processor.
• Transportation: College also provides an optional transport facility for students. Those who want to avail themselves of transportation can apply by filling a form. After that, the bus number and stop location shall be provided to the students.
• Class Rooms: The classrooms are digitally equipped with L.C.D & O.H.P. The rooms are well ventilated and have good seating arrangement for students.
