KJSAC (KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce) is one of the premier institutions,  established in 1959. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by UGC. It has also been credited with NAAC Grade “A” and has over 50 years of excellence. At present, KJSAC offers UG, PG, Certificate and Ph.D. courses. KJSAC admission process for all the undergraduate and postgraduate programs happens on a merit basis except in the case of MA. For MA course admission, candidates will have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the University if they have graduated in some other field or if they do not belong to this University. The admission process for Ph.D. differs from both levels as it demands an entrance test and personal interview.

How To Apply?

  • Visit the official website of the University of Mumbai.
  • Click on the “Register” option.
  • Fill necessary details and choose KJSAC as a preferred college in the college list.
  • Verify details and upload necessary documents.
  • Pay the required fee of INR 100 through the online payment gateway.
  • Keep a printout of the form for future reference.

KJSAC will display the Merit list online as per the schedule prescribed by the University of Mumbai. Students then have to collect a blank application form by providing a pre-admission form cash receipt. Attach all the necessary documents with the form. The documents will be verified by non-teaching staff and an ID number will be generated on the college counter. Pay the admission fees online.

KJSAC Scholarship 2024 

KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce also provides scholarship facilities to students who may need financial assistance. The various kinds of scholarships offered by the college are given below:

  • Subject-based scholarships- In subject-based scholarships, candidates are given financial assistance who have definite educational and career interests. Candidates' financial status is verified before providing financial assistance.
  • Merit-based Scholarships: The scholarship is open to all Somaiya students. However, the student must have one faculty advisor on his proposal.
  • Need-Based Scholarships- Scholarships under this category are provided to students based on their financial income.

KJSAC Facilities

The college provides numerous facilities to assist the students during their college life. Some of these facilities are mentioned below:

  • Library: With a total area of 10732 sq ft, the library can hold more than 87000 books and has an arrangement of 418 chairs with 80 tables for studying. This library is one of the oldest and biggest libraries on the Vidyavihar campus.
  • Hostel: The college offers hostel facilities to their students by making boundaries for girls and boys separately. The facilities in the hostels include a mess, 24-hour hot water, internet facility etc.
  • Sports club: The institute takes its sports activities very seriously and offers an array of fields such as athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball etc.
  • NSS: Actively engrossed and one of the preferred extracurricular activities of the institute is NSS. Under the social scheme, the college has taken on projects of Juhu Beach cleanliness, Old Age Home Visit, Marathons etc.
  • NCC: The NCC committee celebrates every festive occasion with great commitment and energy. While they prioritize their practice at first, they try taking a few social activities as well on the other side.
