About Aditanar College of Arts and Science

Aditanar College was established in 1965 and is located in Thoothukudi District of Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU). The institute was affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai for 25 years before its current affiliation with MSU. It offers multiple undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses. How to Apply?

First the candidates have to register themselves at https://erp.aei.edu.in/applynow/#/step1.
A non-refundable registration fee is to be paid to register successfully. This is an online payment.
A confirmation email is sent that contains the Login ID and password for the college site.
Login to the Application Portal of the site and then submit the application form.
After the submission, admission is done only on the basis of merit. So, the details about the same will be sent to the registered Email and the candidate is expected to follow those instructions.

Aditanar College of Arts and Science Placements

The institute doesn’t usually offer campus placements. Some events have taken place where internships were offered by companies on campus but for specific courses only. However, the college encourages the students to gain experience from internships and does provide students with a Letter of Recommendation.

Aditanar College of Arts and Science Scholarships

Multiple scholarships are offered to those students who are deserving and those who come from backgrounds like ST/SC, First-Generation Students belonging to Backward classes, Physically disabled candidates, those belonging to Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities, children of Freedom fighters, children of Defence Service personnel and Ex-service men and many more. There are a total of 35 scholarships listed on the official college website. Most of the scholarships are given by the State of Tamil Nadu or by the Government of India. NOTE: The scholarships offered by the state of Tamil Nadu is reserved for the residents of the state. The major ones that are available are:

National Merit Scholarship: The National Merit Scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. This is given to students who have scored well in spite of their poverty. At a Graduate level and a postgraduate level, a sum of 500 and 750 per month, respectively, is given to the students.
Tamil Nadu Educational Trust Scholarship: This scholarship is given by the state of Tamil Nadu to students who hail from economically weaker backgrounds. The scholarship is given to students studying in first year degree and PG courses in arts, science, medicine, engineering and PhD in the state. The amount starts at 6000/- for graduate courses and increases as the level of education increases.

Library: The College is adorned with a spacious library for the benefit of the students and to add on to their knowledge base.
Laboratories: Multiple spacious labs are created for the practical knowledge of the students. These labs are equipped with modern equipment.
Community Radio Station: A radio station is something that not many colleges in India have but, it is a common phenomenon abroad. Such a community radio station helps create awareness among the locals as well as helps in an all-round development of the students.
