About Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT]

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Noida is one of the ten extension centers of BIT was established in the year 1998 in order to make the education and research capabilities of the Institute accessible to a large number of youngsters pursuing careers in the related field. The Institute offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral level courses such as B.Sc., BBA, MBA, Ph.D., etc. Admission to certain courses will be done on the basis of the Management and Engineering Entrance Exams conducted at the national level. BIT also conducted its own entrance exam for B.Sc. and MCA courses.

BIT Noida Admissions

The Insitute invites application for BBA, BCA, BAM, MCA, M.Tech., MBA, and Ph.D. programs once in the year, in the month of May. Applications seeking admission to any of the courses mentioned above must register themselves. The mode of the registration is online-only, follow the subsequent steps in order to apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the institute and navigate yourself to Admission page

Step 2: Click on Apply Now and Sign in as a New User by providing a valid phone number and email id.

Step 3: Complete the registration process by verifying your details and the application form will appear.

Step 4: Fill in the form with all the past educational and personal information and upload the scanned images of your passport size photograph and signature.

Step 5: Submit the form with payment of INR 1,500 of the application fee. (INR 1000 for SC/ ST candidates) via Debit/ Credit card or SBC DD in favor of Birla Institute of Technology, Noida

Note: Candidates are requested to fill and submit the application online only and take a printout of the same for future requirements to produce at the time of reporting for counseling cum documents verification.

Selection Procedure

The final selection of all the courses will be Merit in qualifying entrance exams. The candidate will have to appear for several aptitude tests and Personal Interview conducted by the Institute. Type of the qualifying exam as per courses are given below:

Ques: How much does an MBA cost at BIT Noida?

Ans: MBA - Master in Business Administration is a two-year program cost approximately 2.75 lacs per year. There is no fee concession for reserved categories nor for meritious students. Bachelor’s in any discipline with CAT/ MAT/XAT/CMAT can apply for this course.

Ques: What are the benefits of doing BAM at BIT Noida?

Ans: BAM - B.Sc. in Animation and Multimedia is a three-year programming course. Students pursuing the course learn animation and multimedia in-depth. Recently, the department has won two best prizes in short film making competition at the National level. Most of the Alumni have opted for higher studies in Animation at IITs.

Ques: What are the specializations in Ph.D. offered by BIT Noida?

Ans: Ph.D. programs are offered in four specializations - Computer Science and Engineering, Management, Mathematics, and Animation & Multimedia. Candidates must have a master’s degree in the concerned specialization in order to apply.

Ques: What is the seat intake capacity of BCA students at BIT Noida?

Ans: The total number of seats offered for the course Bachelors in Computer Application (BCA) is 80 (40 for Home State and 40 for the Other States). The reservation criteria for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Disability is 15%, 7.5%, and 5% respectively.
