Admissions to the Undergraduate courses is done considering 10+2 marks and selection is done on merit basis. Admissions to the is done on the basis of performance in graduation. The application form can be downloaded form the website or can be taken from the prospective. Applications are accepted both online and offline.

DAV College Abohar Placements

DAV has an active placement cell, under the supervision of a Training & Placement Officer and a committee of faculty members. The placement programme is spread over a three-month period, which gives the recruiting companies and the students' adequate time to interact with each other. Activities conducted by the cell include campus recruitment programmes as well as summer training programmes.

The top companies that pick up and recruit students from DAV include WIPRO, TCS, Infosys, and Jio. In the three placement drives conducted in the academic year 2018-19, a total of 44 students were recruited by these companies.

DAV College Abohar Facilities

Some of the facilities provided by the college include:

Library: The library contains a total of 72298 books, 25 journals, and more than 31,35,000 e-books.
Internet: The college has internet facility for faculty as well as students and has established UGC NETWORK RESOURCE CENTER for this purpose.
Hostel facilities are also provided for the college. Gymnasium, library and centralized broadband connection is made available in girls’ hostels.

DAV College Abohar Faculty

DAV college Abohar has a total of 45 permanent teaching faculty members, out of whom 17 members are qualified with a Ph.D. These include 28 assistant professors and 17 associate professors. In addition, there are 69 temporary teaching faculty members. Seven faculty members are also involved in curriculum restructuring, revision, and syllabus development as members of Board of Study.

Ans. Yes, the college allows the conduct of various university and competitive examinations for the purpose of admission and job selection. Ans. Students can use the well furnished hostels, which have well maintained rooms, labs, parks, lawns, food plaza, Photostat, stationery & cosmetic shops within the campus. Assistance to poor students is also provided under various schemes. Scholarships are provided to students of different categories. Medical facilities are also available on campus and in hostels. Transport service is provided to Fazilka & Malout. A key feature is the “Earn while you learn” scheme.

Ans. The alumni association continuously guides & makes suggestions for effective working. The president of the alumni association is regularly in touch with the authorities. The stress in alumni meets is laid on making the curricula more adaptable to changing needs and for developing and strengthening industry academia interface. The Alumni meet is held twice during the year.

Ans. Yes, there is an application fee. For the BA, B.Sc(Med, N.Med., Computer), B.Com., and MA classes, an application fee of INR 300 must be paid. For the B.Sc (Biotech, Agri.), B.Ped., BCA, BBA, PGDCA, M.Sc. (Phy, Chem, Math, Biotech, IT) and M.Com courses, an application fee of INR 450 must be paid.
