How to Apply?

Visit the official website of the University to apply for GAT.
Fill the online application form carefully.
Upload the recent passport sized coloured photograph of dimensions 4cm X 4cm.
Submit the application form by paying INR 800/- either via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net-banking

GIS Selection Criteria

The candidates applying for B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons.) will be selected on the basis of the GAT UG exam.
The candidates applying for M.Sc will be selected on the basis of the GAT PG exam.
For BCA, the candidates will be selected on merit basis.

The college has a dedicated placement cell for the students. More than 200 recruiting companies visit the campus every year. The highest package offered is INR 16 lakhs. GITAM School of Science Scholarships

The institute offers the following scholarships to deserving and meritorious students:

Admissions through scholarships will be offered on a ‘first come first served’ basis and is limited upto 25% of the approved course intake. Once this is filled, candidates are not qualified for the scholarship.
If a student is eligible for scholarship under more than one category through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests, then he/she will be awarded with the highest percent of the scholarships.
The children of GITAM employees are eligible to avail only 25% of merit scholarship through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests.
The scholarship offered through GAT, National and State Entrance Tests is applicable for first year only. The same scholarship will be continued in the subsequent years of study scoring gpa of 8.0 and more.

GITAM School of Science Facilities

Library: The college has a huge library resource for the students and faculty members. The library is known as the Knowledge Research Centre. The library has more than 3.5 lakh resources available.
Auditorium: The college has around 10 auditoriums which are well equipped with air-conditioners, light and video projectors, speakers and is very well maintained and spacious. The auditorium can accommodate more than 10,000 students. All the seminars, workshops etc are conducted in the auditorium.
Hostels: The hostels of the college are very well maintained and are on the basis of twin sharing. They are well maintained and equipped with all basic amenities. There are air conditioned as well as non-air conditioned rooms. The college provides accommodation for more than 10,000 students.
Food Courts and Canteen: The college has around 6 food courts and one big canteen for the students. The students can sit there with their group and relax. Snacks and food items are available at a standardized rate and hygienic measures at all times are kept in mind.
Sports: The college encourages the students to participate in extracurricular activities. The college has a cricket stadium for the students, a hobby centre for them to play indoor games and a health and wellness centre to do yoga and other forms of exercises.

The faculty at the college are highly experienced and well trained. The faculty is very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are very helpful with 12 to 15 years of experience. They take good care of the students. They encourage the students to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences etc.

Ques. Is GAT an offline or online exam?

Ans. GAT is an online exam conducted for a duration of 2 years. Candidates can appear for the exam through mobile phones, tablets or computers. There are a total number of 100 questions and there are multiple choice questions.

Ques. Is there any scholarship provided for performing well at GAT by GIS Visakhapatnam?

Ans. Yes, there are scholarships provided to the students for performing well in the National and State entrance exams and GAT. The percentage of scholarship according to the marks scored by the students is as follows:
