Government College Of Physical Education

Govt. College of Physical Education, Bhubaneswar is an imperial college in physical education and was started in 1957 with an aim to advance and spread the physical education among the youth of the state. It took its outset in a rental portion of Barabati stadium of Cuttack. Even women candidates were admitted, and B. P. Ed courses were further added in the year 1980 and 1985 respectively to meet the advanced professional training. The college was then transferred to Kalinga stadium. From the last more than 20 years, Govt. College of Physical Education has been producing well-trained teachers in physical education.
