Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) Gandhinagar, established in 2010, is the brainchild of then CM Narendra Modi Ji. IITE Gandhinagar Admissions

The admissions process for the B.Ed integrated courses is usually conducted during the months of May and June every year. The eligible candidates are required to undergo the Pre-Entry Test for Prospective Teachers (PTPT) and the shortlisted candidates must then appear for the Profession Entry Test (PET) both of which are conducted by the IITE.

The admissions process for the M.Ed integrated courses is usually held in the month of June every year.
Any student who has passed B.Sc/B.A. B.Ed or B.Sc/B.A. and B.Ed can be enrolled in the MA/M.Sc M.Ed (Integrated) Programme.

Research Program

The admissions process for the Fellowship program usually takes place during the month of June every year. The total intake is usually declared at the time of admissions. It is open to all Ph.D./M.Phil. Scholars of the University subject to the following eligibility criteria:

The candidate must be admitted in full time (Regular) Ph.D./M.Phil.
The candidate should not be receiving any grant or research assistance by whatever name called from any other source including UGC.
The candidate should not be engaged in any part-time or full-time employment of any nature during the entire tenure of Fellowship.
The candidate must be present full time at the university during the period of the fellowship.

IITE Gandhinagar Placements

During the academic year 2018-19, a total of 43 students graduated, 23 of whom pursued higher education while 8 were placed in various companies. The median salary for the year was INR 2,66,500.

In the 2 year Programme a total of 40 students graduated and 8 were placed in various institutes. The median salary for the year 2018-19 was INR 228,000.
In the 3 year Programme a total of 9 students graduated, 1 of whom pursued higher studies, while 5 were placed in various organizations.
The median salary for the year was INR 1,92,000.

IITE Gandhinagar Facilities

Library: The IITE Library is well equipped to meet all the research needs of its students. It contains over 8500 books and has access to over 1.5 lakh E-Books and E-Journals.
Hostel: IITE offers its students Hostel facility, boys and girls separate, along with both Mess and Medical Consultation Services.
Transport: IITE provides transportation facilities to the students from their hostel to University. Transportation facility is also provided to the students by the university to visit different places for project-based learning as a part of the curriculum.
