The application for admission is available at Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET), and Marthandam Educational and Charitable Trust office on payment of Rs.400/- in person or by post by sending D.D. for Rs.450/- in favour of “MARTHANDAM COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, payable at Parassala/Marthandam.
Selection criteria:
- Admission to B.E/B.Tech.and M.E. under merit quota shall be based on the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination (+2,or equivalent, B.E/B.Tech).
- Admission to management quota and NRI quota candidates will be intimated by the management. Selected candidates will be admitted after remittance of the fee in full as per Anna University norms.

- Admission the process is designed in such a format that gives equal chance to each student for attempting to getting in. for applying in this institute one has to collect an application form either in person or through post by sending a demand draft of 450/- or submitting 400/- to the office of the institute. And has to be submitted before the set time.
- The duly filled application form is to be submitted in the office of Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET) on or before the prescribed time and date.

The college provides almost every basic facility to the students as well as to the faculty of teachers to enhance their experience and knowledge. Some of the major facilities are as follows:-
Library – the college has a well-organized library for the students that includes 2000 number of different technical books and from other fields too, national and international journals, magazines, newspapers, and materials for studying. It has its own separate rules, membership, and faculty to look after.
Internet – the college provides internet facility to students in library and internet lab where students can browse required and needed information.
Cafeteria – the college has a canteen with the capacity of 100 students who can dine and eat together with a good serving facility.
Transport – the college also has its own transportation that gets in use when students go for industrial visits or for trips.
Sports- The college has a physical education department that focuses on the sports activities of students and improves them in different fields too. Many students present college at different levels while sports competitions.
Hostel- many students of this college are from out of the state and require hostel facilities, with enough space in the room to set basic furniture. Provides following hostel facilities with one warden each of the boys and girls.
Campus clinic – the college has a facility of medical care that is a basic aid provided by any place. With the facility of physiotherapy, general disorders, drugs/alcohol test.
