About Visvesvaraya Technological University - [VTU]

VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) is a public university established in 1998 in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is one of India's largest technological universities. VTU has also been approved by AICTE & UGC. Visvesvaraya Technological University has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. VTU has four regional centres spread across Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kalaburgai, and Mysuru. It was certified with Grade "B++" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). VTU is ranked 52nd under the “Engineering” category, 95th under the “Management” category and 92nd in the “Overall” category by NIRF 2023. 

VTU popular courses are B.Tech with 23 specializations, M.Tech with 57 specializations, and MBA. Admission to B.Tech programs is determined by the scores in KCET/ COMEDK/ JEE Main, whereas admission to M.Tech is determined on the basis of merit in GATE/ PGCET. VTU is a multidisciplinary institution that offers a wide range of engineering, technology, and management programs. Around 3 lakh engineering students attend the university's associated institutes, where they study under 37 UG programs, 96 PG programs, and Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) research programs taught by 7 faculty members. The UG program offers degrees such as B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), B.Plan, and B.Arch, and admission is based on scores in JEE Main, KCET, and NATA.

M.Tech, M.Arch, MBA, MCA, and MCA (Lateral) are the courses offered in the PG program. VTU Scholarships 2024 

The VTU provides financial assistance to the students in the form of scholarships and fellowships so that they can continue their studies without facing any financial hurdles in their way. Some scholarships offered by the college are Pre-matric Scholarship schemes. VTU Campus Life and Events

VTU Youth Fest, also known as Intercollegiate Fest, is organized by the university. Students from all of VTU's affiliated colleges have the opportunity to participate in the various VTU Fest activities. In addition, VTU gives financial rewards to meritorious organizations and students. Furthermore, VTU offers single and shared dorm accommodations for its students.   • Library: VTU has an updated library with a rich collection of almost 10,000 books and 43,000 journals on various subjects and important topics and a separate facility of a reading room with a seating capacity for 240 students.
