VIVA Institute of Technology was established in the year 2009 by Late Shri Vishnu Waman Thakur Charitable Trust. This trust was formed in the year 1988 under the president-ship of Shri Hitendraji Thakur, former MLA of Vasai Taluka. The college has mission of developing standard of the institute above bench mark level, providing students with advanced knowledge and latest technology in the chosen discipline by tapping their hidden and obvious potential, molding them into good and responsible citizens by playing a meaningful role in industry and society. VIOT has equipped laboratories in all the departments.

Library:

VIOT has fully computerized library with more than 11110 books, international journals and e-journals and several national journals.

• The Events conducted under CSI-VIT in 2014-15: dotNet Framework Workshop.

• One week Short Term Training Program STTP approved by ISTE, New Delhi was conducted from 23rd Dec 2013 to 28th Dec 2013.

• Workshop on Robotics and Automation

• Seminar on Optical Satellite Communication & Microwave Linking.

• National Conference on “Role of Engineers in Nation Building”( NCRENB),was established in 2009 and celebrated every year.
