The Canan School of Catering & Hotel Management (CSCHM), Chennai was established in 1993. It is a self-financed institute. The institute is approved by All India Council for Teacher Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The college offers three years Bachelor Degree Programme in Hotel Management.

CSCHM has grown to strength of 610 students in 2004 - 2005. Canan attracts students from 22 states in India and six countries abroad. Every year, Canaanites get hired by reputed organization in India & abroad. Campus interviews are conducted on a regular basis, and many students have found employment across the globe. In USA, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland, Holland among others.
