National Sports University (NSU) situated in Imphal, Manipur is the first, and as of now the only central university in India which focuses solely on sports education. National Sports University Imphal Admission 2024

National Sports University (NSU) offers four sports courses for both the programs UG and PG. The mode of the application is completely followed online and the admission of the candidates will depend upon the merit of the admission tests taken by the university.

How to Apply?

The complete online application process of the university is mentioned below:

Apply online at the official website of National Sports University (NSU).
Complete one-time registration by creating a new login ID and password after entering the details of their email ID and phone number. Check the verification email sent to your ID with a confirmation link, and click on to confirm the registration.
Now log in again with their ID and password and fill the application form. Enter the educational and individual details followed by uploading the documents required.
Once all the files are uploaded and the application form is filled, submit their application form. Keep a hard copy print of the application form for future reference.

National Sports University Imphal Placement

Since the first batch of the university is yet to pass out, placements are still to be initiated. National Sports University will establish an efficient and yielding placement cell pertaining to sports organizations, sports clubs, sports leagues, government and non-government organizations, schools, universities and thus create and develop opportunities for internships and placements of the students. The leading organizations from all sectors will be invited. It will also offer international internships.

National Sports University Imphal Scholarship

Scholarships are not yet offered to the students from the institution. Although the students can approach for government-aided scholarships. The government of Manipur has scholarships related to the National Means cum Merit Scholarship scheme. The students can also visit the MHRD portal to check out other possible exams that a student can appear.

The facilities offered by the National Sports University (NSU) are mentioned below:

Library: The University has a central library for the betterment of the candidates. The library contains various useful and important resources for the students inclusive of Print books, National and International journals, CD, DVD, and different functional multimedia resources, etc.
Hostel: The University has also its decent accommodation facility for the students. There are two separate hostels for the boys and the girls. These hostels are capable of holding 150 seats on a shared basis.
Sports Facility: Khuman Lampak Sports Complex – It was the principal venue of the 5th National Games held in February 1999. This sports complex is made available for the NSU students. So all the stadiums are remarkably designed and well maintained. The complex also has an indoor hall stadium and sports courses like Volleyball, Judo, and Gymnastics, etc.
Laboratories: The University has its own sports laboratories for the students for different purposes including Sports Psychology, Performance Analysis, Biomechanics, Sports Nutrition, Sports Biochemistry, and Medical Clinical Lab, etc.

National Sports University (NSU) has a strong qualified faculty infrastructure. Each of the sports departments of the university is flourished with eminent experts from supremely accomplished sports education. Their constant support along with their dedication and dignity have the university national and international exposure.

The university has a total of 17 qualified teaching experts from several sports specializations and out of these number 9 faculty members have Ph.D. degrees from recognized universities. The university also has 5 guest lecturers in different sports subjects.
