About Regional Institute of Education - [RIE]

Regional Institute of Education popularly known as RIE is a constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. The RIEs were set up in 1963 by the Government of India in four regions covering various states. The college offers M.Ed., B.Ed., and four-year integrated BA-B. Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed degree programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute also offers Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling (DGC).

All students applying for RIE, Bhopal must be from the state of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

RIE Bhopal Admissions

Candidates have to apply online through the official website of the RIE Bhopal. Selection to all the programs is done on the basis of the marks secured in Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by NCERT. Candidates who wish to take admission in RIE Bhopal will have to apply online for Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIECEE) conducted by the NCERT.

Application Procedure

Fill the application form by visiting the official website of RIE Ajmer.
Candidates can pay the application fee either in online mode (via Debit/Credit card/net-banking) or offline mode (via SBI challan).
After the RIECEE application form is duly filled and the payment is done, the candidates will have to take a printout of it and send it to the address mentioned on the form.

The students of B.Sc.B.Ed. and B.Ed. have been well placed at KVs, JNVs, DAVs, Atomic Energy B.Ed. Society and similar other reputed schools of the country.

The students of DGC have been recruited as counsellors at schools and organizations that look for them.
The students of M.Ed. (RIE) have been employed as teacher educators at different Teacher Training Colleges/Institutions.
Many students of B.Sc.B.Ed. and B.A.B.Ed. have been selected as TGTs in private residential schools of M.P. and Chattisgarh.
The college provides placements in DPS, Azim Premji, and many other institutes.

RIE Bhopal Scholarship

All students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Tribes admitted to the Institute shall be awarded scholarship, provided they are not getting any financial assistance from any other source. Upto 50% of the remaining students will be awarded the merit-cum-means scholarship as per rules.

RIE Bhopal Facilities

RIE Bhopal has solid infrastructure with all Academic,Civic,Sectional,Boarding facilities.

Hostel:The Institute provides residence to all students in four furnished hostels. The total intake capacity of four hostels is approximately 500 students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. A mess is attached to each hostel and food served to students is as per a stipulated menu.
Laboratories:There are separate laboratories for each subject physics Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Geography, Psychology.
ET Cell:Educational Technology Cell known as ET Cell has Modern ET Lab, ICT Centre with LAN and Internet facility, Video-Conferencing Centre and all advanced technological facilities.
Library:RIE Bhopal has a digital library.
Playground:There is a playground with all sports facilities.
