Veer Kunwar Singh University - [VKSU]

Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) is a public university which was established in 1976 and has been approved and recognised by UGC, AICTE, and NCTE respectively. VKSU is ranked among the top universities in Bihar, has established itself as a center for higher education and research in cutting-edge fields of science, humanities, and social sciences. There are 18 constituent colleges within the university, including H.D. Jain College, Maharaja College, and S.B. College, Ara. VKSU currently has 66 colleges affiliated to its Programs.

VKSU offers various UG, PG, and doctoral level courses in the disciplines of arts, science, commerce, law and humanities. Students seeking admission to courses here are admitted based on their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the University or based on their merit in their previous academic qualifications. VKSU Admission

Students can apply for admissions to UG, PG and PhD programs at VKSU online admission portal. They are selected based on their performance in the VKSU Entrance exam conducted by the University itself depending upon the courses or their merit in their previous academic qualifications based on the course selected. So, students need to apply for the course specific entrance and appear for the entrance with the downloaded admit card. Final admission will depend upon the cut-off scores decided by the University. 

Admission to VKSU B.Ed program is based on Bihar B.Ed CET. VKSU admission to PhD courses is based on the PhD Admission Test (PAT) and interview conducted by the university.

Hostel: Hostel is available for girl students with mess and recreational facilities for their comfortable stay. The hostel rooms are comfortable and are equipped with basic facilities and Wifi. The hostel also offers a mess where good quality food is provided to the residents.

e-Study Materials: Many of the important topics in various subjects are available as e-Study Materials/notes so that it can be referred to at the convenience of the students at their home itself in this time of Corona pandemic in India.

Intercollege Festivals: VKSU plans a wide range of activities to bring out the talent in aspiring students. These activities are overseen by students who also serve as the event managers. Every year, the VKSU university organizes the Annual Inter Cultural Festival, where renowned musicians from throughout the country are invited to perform a musical festival for the visitors, students, faculty, staff, and a crowded public. A two-day celebration of art and culture is held every year.

Seminars: VKSU seminars provide students with access to subject matter specialists as well as the chance to connect with others who have similar interests.
