About Vidyasagar Teachers' Training College

Vidyasagar Teachers’ Training College, established in 1968, is one of the premier teacher training colleges in West Bengal under West Bengal University of Teachers & Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) and is Government aided. The college is affiliated to the Vidyasagar University, Midnapore and approved by NCTE. Vidyasagar Teachers’ Training College offers B.Ed. program in ten disciplines. Admission to the courses offered by the institute is done based on the candidate’s performance in the previous qualifying examinations. However, candidates pursuing any other course of Studies/Job/Full time Research work will not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously.

A large number of facilities are offered by the college including gym, canteen, playground, sick room, common room etc.
All the untrained teachers of class V to Class XII of Junior High/High/Higher Secondary Schools are eligible for admission with at least two years continuous against a permanent post or three years continuous service against an additional post as on service 30th June in every year.
The college has fully equipped latest computers along with a LAN facility, High speed broadband facility.
The History Room is our secure and quiet space for looking at original records and heritage material, including Ancient, Medieval and Modern Maps of India and World etc.
Availability of big advanced 3D maps in Geography labs.
Complementary arts and yoga education.
