About BMS School of Architecture - [BMSSA]

The BMS School of Architecture was established under BMS Educational Trust in 2010. It is located in Yelahanka, Bangalore, India. It is affiliated with the council of Architecture and is in collaboration with well-known institutions like the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun.

It offers undergraduate and postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in Architecture. The admission is done on the basis of merit in the common entrance test (CET), Postgraduate entrance test (PGCET), and VRAT test for UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs respectively.

Bms School Of Architecture Admissions

The admission to B.Arch. course is based on the score in the NATA/ JEE/CET held in Karnataka/ COMEDK.

For admission in M.Arch program, candidates have to appear and pass in GATE / PGCET.

Admissions to Ph.D. are based on Synopsis selection, VRAT test followed by Interview,

To get the brochure the student has to pay 1000 INR in favor of ‘BMS Educational Trust’.

BMSSA Bangalore Placements

BMS School of Architecture has a designated placement cell which helps to embrace the skills of the candidates and prepares them for the forthcoming interviews. The school has links to various firms across different sectors. This placement cell deals with the pre-placement talks, group discussion, workshops, structured module, industry interaction like programs.

For being eligible for the placement the student has to select the area of interest and this can be done once only. The areas of specialization are Interior, Landscape, and Architectural Environment.

There is a defined policy of the cell which has to be followed by the enrolled students. After being shortlisted by the firm and getting an offer letter the student cannot apply for any other interview.

Infrastructure- The college offers the highest quality of infrastructure with separate hostels for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor complex for sports, gym, fully functional computer lab, auditorium, wi-fi internet campus, hi-tech audiovisual enabled classrooms, and health facilities. Along with this canteen, the lift and stationery shop is also there on the campus.
Library- A fully equipped library is present on the campus which is open from Monday to Saturday. To encourage the students to use the library ethically, the Best Library User Award is given every year to the winner.
Research Center- BMSSA also has a research center known as the Center for Innovation and Design management.
Study Tours- BMSSA annually organizes 10 days guided trip which may be National or International. This opportunity helps the students to understand the structural forms, architectural history, and cultural significance. Places like Gujarat, Chennai, Bangalore, Europe, Bhutan, Sri- Lanka have been covered previously.
