About Chandernagore Goverment College

Chandernagore College was established in 1862 by the French colonial government as a primary school; it was re-established in 1931 as one of the oldest institutes in west Bengal district Hooghly. It is affiliated to the University of Burdwan.

Classrooms- the classrooms in the College provide technological aids and spacious rooms to students.
Hostel facilities - Hostel facilities for Girls are available at the Chandernagore college. Situated within the campus area only it has capacity for 36 students. Rooms have ergonomically designed and are aesthetically furnished. Facilities included in the hostel are Dining hall, Drinking water, Laundry service, Wifi, Library, Visitor’s room, sanitation etc.
Canteen - The college provided food refreshments.
Library facility - Library has a collection of over 500 Books. Library system has overall 17 libraries i.e. 1 central and 16 departmental libraries for seminar etc. The library provides a reading room, reprographic services and access to e-learning resources.
Laboratories- The chandernagore college has three computer laboratories- The central computer laboratory, Departmental laboratory for science and maths.
Sports club a playground with Badminton, Tennis, Volleyball.
Gymnasium- College has a gymnasium for exercise and workout for physical as well as the mental well being of its students.
Health care unit/sick room-The college provided basic health care facilities for immediate assistance for its students and staff.
Book and stationery outlet - Which provides books, reference material and stationery products.
