National Institute of Design (NID), Madhya Pradesh, popularly referred to as NID Bhopal is an “Institution of National Importance” under the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Established in the year 2019, NID Bhopal currently offers a full-time four-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program in three specializations namely Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design. The institute offers a total of 86 Seats for B.Des, out of which 75 Seats are for Indian Nationals (25 for Each Specialization), and 11 Seats for International Students.

Admission to B.Des at NID Bhopal is based on the total score obtained by the candidates in the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) that involves two stages namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. NID Bhopal Admission 2025

NID Bhopal offers admission to its B.Des program on the basis of the score obtained by the students in the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT). NID DAT involves two stages namely DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Eligible candidates will have to first appear for NID DAT Prelims, and based on their merit in the same, the candidates will be shortlisted for DAT Mains. The final selection for NID Bhopal Admission will be based on the sum total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidates in DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

The allocation of seats for admission to NID Bhopal will be done through NID DAT Counselling based on the merit list, the category of the candidates, and the seats offered by the institute. NID Bhopal Facilities and Hostel

NID Bhopal Campus is located on 29.49 acres of picturesque location in Madhya Pradesh with a state-of-the-art ambience created by the appropriate use of technology and innovation. The institute's campus has an interactive, user-friendly academic environment having spacious and well-lit classrooms, labs, studios, workshops, etc.

NID Bhopal Hostel

NID Bhopal offers fully furnished separate hostels for boys and girls with 24-hour internet, lifts, RO water with water coolers, hot water, fully automatic washing machines, 24x7 security guards, CCTV for safety, and a common room equipped with TV and various indoor games. It is mandatory for students to stay at NID Bhopal Hostel during their course duration.
